The New Face of Cybercrime

Cincinnati has a fantastic opportunity to preview Fortify’s The New Face of Cybercrime as the fourth city globally, after New York, San Francisco, and London. Our own local OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) chapter will sponsor the preview a couple of weeks from now on April 22nd in conjunction with other regional OWASP chapters.

Citigroup will host the preview from 5:30PM to 7:30PM at the Citi offices at 9997 Carver Road, Building 1 in the Buckeyes room.

From the event site:

You are invited to attend a private @Work Premiere of the ground breaking film, The New Face of Cybercrime, by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Fredric Golding.

This revealing documentary features candid interviews with criminal hackers and those industry executives taking steps against their persistent attacks. Learn the shocking exposure of IT systems and how to address the challenges.

Post screening, participate in an interactive discussion with a security thought leader involved first-hand with the documentary. They will lead discussion and will provide insights and concepts designed to outline an action plan for OWASP.

Fortify will fly an executive in at their expense here as well as handle the catering. The evening is free to all of us. Marco Morana, the Cincinnati chapter’s organizer, will give away an OWASP book to the first 10 to register for the event. When you register drop Marco an email at marco(dot)m(dot)morana(at)gmail(dot)com.

Please register at this link. We’ll see you in a couple of weeks!
